Roulette Strategy

Roulette is really simple.  Just place your bet on the table, and if your number/pick comes up when the wheel stops spinning you win. 

It is played on a wheel having 38 compartments numbered 1 to 36, 0 and (in most, but not all cases) 00. The same numbers are printed on the table lay-out where bets can be placed.  The wheel spins counter-clockwise while a little white ball rolls in the opposite direction and when the ball drops into one of the slots, that is the winning number. You win or lose depending where on the table your bet was placed. The amount you win depends on the type of bet you have placed, and this is explained in more detail below.

Here are the 11 bet type...

Betting inside:

• 1 number, 35 to 1 payout if you win, 2.63% probability
  Put your chip (or chips) on any number from 1 to 36, or 0 and 00. Be sure your chips are inside the square and do not touch the line.

•  2 numbers, 17 to 1 payout if you win, 5.26% probability
  Put your chip (or chips) on the line between two numbers. If either number comes up you win. 

• 3 numbers, 11 to 1 payout if you win, 7.89% probability
  To choose a row of 3 numbers position your bet on the line that separates the inside and outside areas. 

• 4 numbers, 8 to 1 payout if you win, 10.53% probability
  Put your chip (or chips) on a four-number intersection. You win if one of the four numbers comes up. 

• 5 numbers, 6 to 1 payout if you win, 
  We recommend you don’t make this bet! It's the only one that gives the house an extra 2.5% advantage! 

• 6 numbers, 5 to 1 payout if you win, 15.79% probability
  This bet is placed between two three-number rows on the line that divides the inside and outside fields.

Betting outside: 

• 12 number column bet, 2 to 1 payout if you win, 31.58% probability
  Put your chip (or chips) in one of the spots marked 2-1 at the opposite end of zero and double zero. 

• 12 number numerical bet, 2 to 1 payout if you win, 31.58% probability
  Choose between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd twelve. You're betting on numbers 1 to 12, 13 to 24, or 25 to 36 respectively. 

• 18 numbers red / black, 1 to 1 payout if you win,  47.37% probability
  Put your chip(s) on the red or black diamond. 18 numbers odd / even, 1 to 1 payout if you win, put your chip(s) on the odd or even sections. 

• 18 numbers high / low, 1 to 1 payout if you win, 47.37% probability
  Put your chip(s) on the 1 to 18 or the 19 to 35 sections. 

• 18 numbers odd/even, 1 to 1 payout if you win, 47.37% probability
  Put your chip(s) on the odd or even section.

minimum bets… 

All casinos will have minimum bets at their roulette tables. For ‘inside bets’ each individual bet can be less than the table minimum, as long as the sum total inside bets is greater than or equal to the minimum. For outside bets, each bet placed must be greater than or equal to the minimum.
